We obtain our Organic Certification from an independent organisation called the Organic Food Chain, who put each of our products through serious assessments at each stage of the manufacturing process before allowing us to use their logo and claim Certified Organic on our products.
This logo is your guarantee that the product contains at least 70% organic ingredients. Why not 100%? The remaining percentage usually contains non-certifiable products like water and mineral pigments! It's also your guarantee that the product does not contain nasties like parabens, synthetic additives, silicones, toxins, chemicals or other harmful ingredients.
Some of our products, like our mineral powders, are not Certified Organic, but this doesn’t mean we haven’t used the most pure ingredients available. These products are largely made up of mineral pigments derived straight from the Earth – ingredients that are unable to be classed as organic as they have not been “grown” in a controllable environment. Our promise to you is to always use as many Certified Organic ingredients as possible in our products.
Some brands claim that their products are organic or contain organic ingredients. However, without an OFC certification, there is no guarantee that the same product does not contain a large amount of other non-organic ingredients, like parabens and silicones.
